Post arrives during the day and messages are left on an answer machine waiting to be dealt with on your return home from an already long day at work. Realistically it may be a few days before you have the chance to respond.

It’s very likely that you’re accustomed to having practice secretaries to look after the administrative duties in your main employment. You may not necessarily have needed to learn the skills required to efficiently take care of the admin tasks in your private practice – using IT to make your systems streamlined, effective document control and secure data protection to name a few.

The fridaygirl offices are fully staffed throughout the working day, which means that incoming telephone calls, emails and post are dealt with promptly and instructions are routinely processed the same day.

We send out correspondence on behalf of our experts, manage diaries, handle their incoming calls from patients, book clinics and make appointments; we control the flow and storage of documents, maintain databases of case histories and prepare reports from digital audio transcription.

We also undertake basic book-keeping and prepare papers for your accountant, monitor payments due in and politely chase those that are late. We can even negotiate your fees for you and take your cheques to the bank, if you like.

If your practice’s income is such that you need to be VAT registered, we can liaise with HM Revenue & Customs for you, create VAT compliant invoice templates and set up systems to monitor incoming VAT payments so that when the time comes completing the necessary quarterly VAT returns is a breeze.

We’re not just super secretaries - we’re also business owners ourselves - which means we understand, and have experience of, many issues a small business has to face. Think of us as a receptionist, medical secretary and practice manager all rolled into one very convenient service.

For your peace of mind we are registered for Data Protection with the Information Controller, all waste documentation is cross-cut shredded prior to disposal and our computer system is backed up remotely off site every night to prevent against data loss.
